2010 VIBE STARTUP NOISE

The bendix gear inside your starter is beginning to fail. It may continue to make this noise for many months to come. It normally afflicts those of us in cold climates and is most noticeable during the winter months. I'd say you will be needing a starter in the future. They are neither expensive nor hard to replace yourself if you are so inclined.

Sounded like the VVT rattle to me.
