The only thing about my Vibe that has really let me down is the "wandering" at 75mph or so. Talking to Jeff at the Michigan meet, he suspected the Continental tires are the cause. Being in the position of recently purchasing a new home while trying to sell my current home, (property taxes and ins. on two homes...., a 2 year old boy,...etc.) I don't have $400+ extra cash at the moment burning a hole in my wallet that I can go out and try some different tires hoping that will solve the problem.I try to keep an eye on my tire pressures, and usually put a couple extra psi in to help fuel mileage. I was running 35 in the Continentals, so I thought I'd try dropping the pressure down to 30psi to see if that would make a difference in the wandering. IT DEFINATELY MADE AN IMPROVEMENT!!!!! I wouldn't say it drives like a totally different car, but if you are experiencing alot of the "wandering" I'm speaking of, try dropping your tire pressure down to 30 or so and see if it improves.Later,Carl
My tires are at 37 psi and that was from the factory and I have no problems at all with wandering. Be awre of the roads uou drive on they may see alot of truck traffic and that will cause ruts. Not huge one like in dirt but enought to make your car wander. The bigger the tire the worse it gets.chris

I quote from a web site:quote:High pressure causes the tire to expand more, and wear will be greater in the center of the tread than toward the sides. The inside and outside edges wear less because they contact the road with less force than does the center of the tread. Overinflation shortens tire life and can make vehicle handling seem "light" or "skittish," particularly on wet roads. The dealer should have let the pressure down at prep, but the tires are overinflated at the factory to help the bead set. They should be inflated to 32 psi (220 kPa), front and back.
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
i have the 17" wheel/tire package on mine. it drifts a bit at higher speeds but i htink it's due to the excessive wear on the roads from studded tires and heavy traffic.
