2004 Fog Light Removal

Have the left fog light with a broken lens. How do you remove the light?

Fromunda. I put mine on my ramps, there's an access cover with a couple 10mm bolts, then you can reach in and pull it out. I can't remember how exactly it's held in but it's pretty easy to remove and install the new one. I replaced one on each Vibe a couple years ago, and now the one on Frosty is cracked again. I just got a Depo replacement from Amazon for $39.

Just finally got around to replacing mine today and here's how I did it:
Remove four 10mm bolts and one panel clip to remove the cover, the fog light will be easily visible. Disconnect the wire harness, or just twist the bulb 1/4 turn counter-clockwise to remove it with the harness connected if you're just replacing the light fixture.

Look at the new light assembly and note the two round black buttons, one on each side. Note the plastic tab tab that locks the near side button in place, and pry it up with a small screwdriver. Repeat by feel on the off side, it only takes a little bit to release it, if you push forward on the assembly while prying you'll feel it release. Look for the two small locking tabs on the housing around the adjustment screw and push those in, then push the whole assembly out through the front of the bumper.

Reverse the process and push the new assembly in from the front, lining the adjustment screw up with the hole and push in until the locking tabs click into place. Insert the bulb and turn 1/4 turn clockwise to lock in place. Check that the light works, then put the panel back in place and you're done.

Just noticed that the driver's side fog on the other Vibe took a rock too, so now I get to order and replace another one. Yeah!
