So I have a 2004 Pontiac Vibe AWD— not sure how to go about this, but I want to change my current t-handle shift knob to something a little more appealing and custom. I've been looking around online and haven't found anyone who's really tampered with an automatic shifter to make it anything other than the grey lump with an OD button.
Is there some serious fabrication that needs to go on or is it just kinda pulling it apart and slipping on a boot and a new knob?

You could put the O/D button elsewhere and get SICKSPEED's automatic shift knob adapter.
