One showed up @ one of our car shows 2 weeks ago. I was going to mention it but forgot. Over all I like it. It's not for me, but it's something different on the road to look at besides civics, GA's, and cavaliers. I thought the Porshe type spoiler that pops up automatically was neat, but didn't really fit the car.

Looked at one at a dealership a couple of months ago... *colonelpanic scratches his head* Whatta pricetag! Actually saw one on the road today... I admit, I kinda like the concept. I'll take a station wagon over an SUV any day!

I like the back-end of that car, the way the side fenders cut into the hatch and tail lights. The front is kinda weak and it is overpriced. But I totally support any manufacturer taking a chance on new designs. Cars are finally getting interesting again.
I saw my fisrt one this weekend Black. They're abit smaller than I had thought. No it's not really my "cup-o-tea" but you gotta remeber who these type of rides are marketed towards. they're definiitly NOT to the import croud.the one thing it has going for it is the powertrain (all MB baby, and man do their engineers konw a thing or two) so.... for the priced of a chrysler yuo get a mercedes CLK on teh 30% off rack, not too bad.
I once owned a Mercedes SLK and it's hilarious how much of the Crossfire is from the about-to-be-replaced SLK. Besides the cool top and V6, the SLK had nothing sporty or high quality to speak of. Reliability was pitiful (still one of the better Mercedes due to the I4) and the chassis creaked and moaned with a hint of aggressive driving. I hope Chrysler updated the vague recirculating ball steering as well. Just like the Pacifica, the Crossfire price is too high and demand will be low = short 3-4 year life.

I know they didn't even hide the fact that the dash is lifted right from the CLK (jsut a different gauge faces and silver rather than wood in the center). Even the engine cover is the same (well so is a vibes to a matrix) but you know what I mean. I guess its one way to keep cost down (e.g. steal as many parts/pieces from the shelves rather than make'm). But for DC's (dalamier chrysler) first jiont-venture its not too bad. They jsut need to put the blown v-6 in it form the baby-benz AMG! then I'd be interested! hummmmm?
The Chrysler dealership has one in the show room, haven't gone in to look at it yet. The photos that I have seen of it make it look pretty good. I kinda like it, too bad I can't afford it.
sale dwindles to almost nothing so.....it wasn't worth continuing. The interesting thing re: the prowler was that it was originally to be sold in primer! letting customers paint it (flames, scalops...etc) the way they want. UNfortunly they didn't know most true hot rodders want more than custome paint. they want a custom (e.g. 1 of a kind) car. therefore it was a failure w/ it's intended target market. Nice try though! I'd drive one!
