I have had the
K&N Typhoon short ram air intake (#69-8613TS) and
AEM Brute Force Dryflow air filter (#21-203BF) installed on my Vibe since July of 2009. I have not had any major issues with it and I have seen a consistent 1-2 MPG increase in my gas mileage. A year or two ago, I added an
AEM air filter wrap (#1-4000) to help keep dirt, etc. out of the filter. This past July I had the
Magnaflow catback exhaust system (#16849) installed and have once again seen a consistent 1-2 MPG increase. The exhaust sounds great. It's barely louder than stock until you step on the gas, but even than it's not obnoxiously loud or droning. I highly recommend it. I highly recommend Hott Exhaust for the cheapest price on it. They have a link on their homepage to contact them about discount codes. Be sure to take advantage of this. I messaged them and told them what I wanted. They sent me a code that saved me around $140.00. I ended up paying ~$440.00 shipped. I paid another $60.00 to have it installed by a trusted local exhaust guy. When I went to pick my Vibe up, he was saying how impressed he was with the fit and quality of the exhaust. I was worried about how it would fit, sound, etc. but I am so glad I decided to get it. It is well worth the price tag.
