I've been thinking about taking the '03 into the modern era with that unit as well. Seems to do a lot of stuff for very little coin. Barring how difficult it is to use, so we need to find a place locally where we can demo it. Neither of us want anything overly complicated. Looking through the manual it doesn't seem too bad.Raven wrote:I put this one http://www.crutchfield.com/p_105KWR910B ... ml?tp=5684 in my daughters '06 about 2 months ago. She loves it. Has bluetooth etc. bla bla bla.
None required. Is it necessary with the Monsoon system?dnoishere wrote:did you use the Line Output Converter? how does it hook up?
Take all 8 wires from your head unit's speaker outputs into the input side of this thing and the 8 wires on the harness for the speakers are connected to the output side.dnoishere wrote:did you use the Line Output Converter? how does it hook up?
I don't have pics. It seemed quite simple to use even with "older" failing eyes. Basic functions have large easy to see and use buttons.ColonelPanic wrote:I've been thinking about taking the '03 into the modern era with that unit as well. Same radio I just installed in mine. Question, what dash kit did you use? The one I bought (honestly forgot the brand, but it wasn't Scosche or Metra), the bezel filler panel doesn't fit over the face of the radio, so I've got a nice gap all around the radio.dnoishere wrote:...well I got my new JVC-KW-R910BT installed...sounds pretty good. Thanks Raven for the suggestion...
