Speed gauge wire for nav system

Post by kumquat »

I'm installing a JVC KW-NT300 navigation system. Looks like I can bypass the parking brake by just grounding the appropriate wire, which is great. But I need to hook it up to a speed sensor wire as well.

What wire should I use for this?

The service manual lists pin 35 and 36 on the instrument panel connector both as "vehicle speed sensor signal." One is VT (violet?) and the other is "L-GN" (light green?)

Which should I use?

For anyone else curious, I used the violet wire and it's working fine.
