I tell you...Pontiac could have a hit with that if they just fixed up the poor look a bit. Round it out a bit...give it a facelift, it could actually be a nice car!
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
i have always hated them, but i give it a 10. wow!!! i would almost trade my vibe for that, only if it was an even trade, but i doubt mine vibe is worth that much, lol

quote:I never liked the Aztek either until I saw the below pic a few months back. It proves the Aztek can look good even in stock form.I got to drive one of these exact models for 399 miles this past weekend. Overall, a nice ride. Nothing special, average in every way. Maybe a little better than average in handling for a vehicle of this type. I don't think it offers much more "usable" space than the Vibe though. The tray in the back on rollers is a novel idea but I think it would prove to be more in the way after the "hey check this out" factor wore off.As far as the looks go - I like it. But I always go for "different" though.

Wo9w.. so many wonderful elements on that particular aztec.. The side view shot is delicious although I am still horrified with the back end of it...I love the smoked looking headlights... and the color of the Aztec...

That Aztek is so well done with upgrades that you can't even relly call it an Aztek. Based on that, anyone could love that car and still hate the Aztek.
i was wondering if the rims on that black aztec above were pontiac factory rims. it looks like the same ones are on the vibe fx in the "dressed to thrill" article. i really like them and was curious if pontiac sold them.

IMO the Aztec's problem was that the wheels were too small. If you are gonna have a high profile vechile then you have to have larger wheels. They originally came with 16" rims and it looked horrible. Then I saw one with 20's driving around town and it looked really good. That is why the Toyota Echo and the Suzuki Areo look weird.
ever since i drove one of the first year azteks, i've wanted one..but issues w/durability and cost to work on the engine scared me away (includes buick rondy too!).....they are very good vehicles that just needed better representation and customization to tone down some of the weird styling cues! these two vehicles are very sharp!! that raised aztek is a kicker!
