Decades ago (1994, while replacing the door/window gaskets for my 1984 Rabbit Convertible) I used '3M weatherstrip adhesive' to keep everything in place:

As I recall, this stuff was MUCH cheaper 20 years ago, but then what wasn't?
DISCLAIMERS: Bright yellow, so any extraneous drips will show, and smells horrible while drying, so use with plenty of ventilation. The solvent in it likely melts some plastics, like the Vibe gray cargo-hold plastics, so apply with care!
It is apparently also available in Black now:

I'd probably try either of these before the DollarTree 2 Tubes for $1 Superglue Gel, because the 3M stuff can flex and bend, while Superglue Gel would not.
