2004 Nav system

Post by Jahntassa »

I saw on the Pontiac site, which finally updated to the 2004 Vibe, that the Nav system has a "programmable EQ"... Huh?! Does this mean a real EQ, or just the Treble/Mid/Bass on the 2003?

A: It's probably the exact same unit as 2003.B: Why is three ranges (Treble/Mid/Bass) not a "real" equalizer? It may not be as fully-featured as others but it is an equalizer nonetheless. I'm not defending it, nor saying that it is completely adequate, but it fulfills all of the requirements, unless one of your requirements is "more than three frequency ranges.""Bad things always happen in threes. Especially if you start counting at one and stop at three."

I *think* it means you can program the EQ settings per preset station.See here: http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id ... 0148#60148

My mom's GP has like a 6 band equalizer...I HATE THAT...too difficult for me to figure out...I like simple -- Bass, Mid, Treble...
