Finally paid off my Vibe!

Post by musicmanmu »

I remember finding this forum when researching the Pontiac Vibe as my potential first new car. Thanks to the help of many great people here, I got the info I needed and it helped greatly in my decision to buy a 2009 Vibe GT.

As of today, the final loan payment has been made, and it's officially mine! Just hit 196,000 miles, and (knocks on wood) it's still running great. Just hope I can keep it running well for at least a year!

AWESOME!!! You must have taken good care of it. Hope you get another 5 years and 196K miles out of it.

Congrats! Now bank the payments so you can pay cash for your next one and save all that interest expense.

I tried to. A few cosmetic blemishes up front (I hit a dog  and didn't want to pay to fix the crack in the front skirt). Just oil changes, tire rotations (and many new tires of course), one set of brake pads, one battery, a speed sensor, and new wipers were the only things I've ever had done to it to my recollection. It probably helps that 85-90% of the driving is highway miles.

I will drive it until it gives up the ghost!

I would, but I have a credit card to pay off first... :x
