Activating the Panic Mode without Toyota key fob

Post by michaelgt »

Has anyone accidentally activated the panic mode without a Toyota key fob? I was at the fair last week, and my hands were full, so I was trying to depress the unlock button (through the pocket), and my alarm started. I had to set everything down, and find the key fob to stop the alarm. I have tried a combination of buttons to duplicate what I did, but can not figure it out.Anybody with ideas?

We noticed at the Northeast Rally that AtWork's Canadian remote had the word "PANIC" engraved above the lock button. We all tried to figure out how to activate it, but no one was successful.'Tis an ongoing mystery!

I don't have this word PANIC engraved on my key wireless entry and my Vibe is Canadian too... And I've never activated this function too... It's a real mystery...

No, I don't have the security package.I saw a Toyota Corolla key fob one time and I know what you mean. Maybe they placed the wrong top cover on your fob...
