Where did you purchase your CAI?

Post by JustinVGT »

I just wanted to see where most of you have been ordering your CAI's. If you could also comment on the service you received I'd appreciate it. I've been reading how some people have found that Adventon is not an authorized retailer for Injen and that is originally where I intended to order my CAI. Thanks,

o man if your in VA definitely get it from ptuning their in Va too. Youll get like overnight delivery. I get mine in 2 days and im in NJ. If i was further away id probably get it somewhere else just because i hate waiting . But ptuning has good service and you can call them and confirm stuff etc.

Eh, did ptuning drop the blue and red Injen CAI's? All I could find were the polished and black . Having a Neptune GT, I naturally want the blue

How you figure.Radiant heat energy is given off by any object above absolute zero temperature (minus 460 F.) and a reflective surface will absorb less of the heat from the engine block, exhaust, etc. than a dark colour.

I got mine from Ptuning. I got the intake in four days, My exhaust took about nine, so I got pissed off at them for a little while and after a few heated e-mail exchanges it turns out that it was Fed-Ex's fault. My intake had been delivered, but the tracking website said my exhaust hadn't even left the warehouse yet. Fed-Ex destroyed the barcode on the label somehow and they couldn't scan it. So it took about 9 days to get here. I felt really bad because I had been a little rude to Ptuning.

http://www.ultrarev.com . I wouldn't recommend anymore. If their product is on back order, I would never order from them. But if they have the product in stock, they're pretty good about getting their parts out. $225 shipped from ultrarev for a black injen CAI

I got mine from raceoptions and got Injen model RD7025P, which is for the standard Vibe, but I've got a GT. I got it installed and it works great, but I'm wondering what the difference between the CAI models are?

I voted a while back but I guess I never posted to show where I got it. I ordered mine through http://www.mmrusa.com[Mantaray Motorsports]. It was like $220 shipped but was the Injen RD7025B and was polished black. They are somewhat local so I could have saved on shipping, but I didn't feel like driving the 1/2 hour to go get it, so I paid an extra $10. They are really helpful as it came without the CARB sticker and when I called them about it, they looked it up on Injens website, gave me the URL, and told me exactly what I needed to do to get one. I'm sure most would have just told me I had to get it from the manufacturer and hung up, but they were really nice about it.

I went with injen cause it came polished and cosmo at that time had none available... I didn't care about the price difference.

mostly the difference is in R & D. Injen can afford it and Cosmo cannot. also, if you are in a location where emissions is an issue, then you want one that is CARB legal such as Injen, TRD, K&N, AEM, etc. you don't purchase the cheap ones because they may not and you'd have to re-install the stock airbox before any inspections. realistically, on the CAI, it's not going to matter much on which one you get other than making sure it comes with that CARB legal sticker if you need it.

why is it that TRD. Say 2WD only on the CAI kits? I was sure that area under the hood was all the same between the 2WD and AWD. What's up with that ?
