unlocked car and it was trying to start itself wth

I used the key fob to unlock my door put the key in and tried to start it didn't when i took the key out it was still trying to start all lights were flashing cd player makeing noise and the starter was turning what is going on i jumped the battery and car started what could be wrong

This is about your just purchased 03 Vibe, correct? GT or Base? Why did you have to jump-start the car? Did the starter keep cranking the engine till the battery died? How old is the battery? The first thing I would do is charge the battery and take it to an auto parts store for a free battery test and replace the battery if it is bad. I would also call the shop that sold you the car for some assistance.

Yeah my bad its my 03 vibe i can't take back where i got it it was as is when it started acting up the car gave one attempt to start then started the flashing crazy stuff there was enough battery left for that stuff but not enough to get started i looked at the battery and it is old i will probally take my matrix battery and switch it is about six months old i was looking at the key fob and figured out it has a remote start so now i gotta figure out how to unhook that crap cause yhe python made alot of cars have issues luckily i got a brother inlaw who works at a nissan dealership so i can bribe him with food to look at it lol

Definitely swap-out the battery! Can you leave the key fob in the house and just use the key until you get this sorted out?
Now I think I know what "marrying well" means.

Lol i am lucky all my mechanics let me help so i can learn how to fix stuff when it breaks
