QUOTE]A rock just holed the windshield in my 2003 Vibe. Anyone know if a factory tinted windshield is available ?[/QUOTE]well i might be wrong but i dont think your aloud to have your front windshield tinted. I have mine tinted but got it done aftermarket i love it its like driving with sunglasses on all day lol.
Is it a chip in front of your vision? Windshields are available to all glass shops in your area. File an insurance claim and save some money. The windshields are expensive. If it is just a stone chip and you do not have a tinted film that is in between the two layers then it can be repaired for cheap.
Just here to lend a hand to people who have questions about their Vibe.

‘03 Vibe with 317k and still going.............................

Mikey,I had the same thing happen to me about 6 months ago. I caught a stone to the windshield. I did some research and found that since windsheilds break all the time, its a gamble to even get it fixed right away. If you can live with the chip, you should, at least until it gets really bad. And it is certainly cheaper to pay to fix a windsheild yourself than to file an insurance claim (the premiums will really get you if you claim every little damage). So, the moral of my story is, don't fix it unless you absolutely have to. Also, full windshield tint is illegal in most states, i know florida is one of them.

I was confused too. But Mikey: check this chart to see if your state legalizes tinted windshields. Majority don't. http://www.iwfa.com/iwfa/Law_Chart/Stat ... 0Chart.pdf
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!

Also, full windshield tint is illegal in most states, i know florida is one of them. in Alaska we call them the Alaskan Beauty Mark. if you don't have atleast one, it's just a matter of time. I have 3 rock chips in mine and a funny looking crack going on the passenger side. until it gets too bad, i'm not wasting my money to get a new windshield. plus you will have to pay more if you use your insurance too much. just the little rock chips/pits are about $60 to fix. insurance usually will pay that no big deal since it's cheaper than a windshield. i used to have a $0 deductible for comp, but used it too much with the windshield dings. now it's $250.
