Radio Theft - Looking for alarm

Post by wingman7000 »

So I finally decided to upgrade my radio to a double din touch screen (Kenwood DDX770 http://www.kenwoodusa.com/Car_Entertain ... deo/DDX770" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) and ended up having it stolen within a month see pics.

Now, before getting a new one, I am looking to get an alarm. Has anyone installed a Viper 5704v on their Vibe w/ remote start? Does anyone have a remote start on a manual?

Wow that sucks! One reason I got my son a double DIN DVD player with a detachable face so he can remove it when he stops anywhere. Yeah, it is a bit of a hassle, but at least there is less of a chance of them stealing a detached unit.

Good luck getting it back in order!

Man that totally S U C K S :x That brings back real BAAAAAD memories of my early modded cars some 25-30 years ago. Had stereos stolen, batteries stolen, and even an attempt to take the whole car  Lived in a "so so" neighborhood and worked in a high crime inner city 'hood where theft was daily. I'll assume this is an insurance claim and you'll make an attempt to restore everything back to original. Definitely go with an alarm set up and the Viper line is a good one to start with. Got the Viper 793 on my work van and nobody has messed with it at all in the 7+ years of having it. Keep us posted on the repairs & progress :!:
