Don't get too excited. I'm just an employee. I maintain the plastic molds in the Plastics department. We make the upper and lower dash boards and the front and rear bumpers. The stamping department makes just about all the panels used to build the car. Hood, roof, floor, doors, lift-gate, etc. All the remaining parts come from other suppliers either local or from Japan and are assembled into Vibes, Corollas, Tacomas and Voltz. The Toyota Voltz is a right-hand drive "Vibe" exported to Japan. A couple of unique options on the Voltz is a red rear fog light (replaces the right rear reverse light) and power folding mirrors.By the way, please don't start dumping complaints on me. There's nothing i can do. I can't imagin going into work tomorrow saying " Hey guys, the plastic we use for the dash scratches too easily... lets change it!" Complaints to the dealerships or to Pontiac are more effective. GM and Toyota tells us what to do and how to do it.I don't own a Vibe. I do, however, understand the fanatisism about it. I own an old Datsun 1200 and belong to www.Datsun1200.com . The forum and message boards are similar.

I also don't have any dash problems, so no worries there either I wish we got power folding mirrors, as well as side marker turn signals! >EI wonder how hard it would be to put these on a Vibe ...
