Yes and No. Yes, the stock amp can be used to power other speakers. However, no, the stock amp is a 2 ohm amp, so (guessing) 4 ohm JBL will be way underpowered by the stock amp. Also, no, the stock sub is a dual voice coil setup, therefore if you were running only one 10" sub, the stock amp would not have balanced output which will create harmonic oddities. Their have been many posts on this site with pictures of people redoing the hatch area to add larger subs, and even reworking the plastic hatch panels to build the subs into the existing trim. I don't think it would be to much of a stretch to rework the rear passenger area to get an 8" sub with custom enclosure, 10" or larger would take some planning.
Depending on the the scenario, if space was an issue, I would suggest a 2 x 50 RMS amp and bass shakers under the front seat mounted to the floor boards (depending on how the rest of the car stereo system was setup)

This gets past taking up valuable space, and can be placed closer to the listener, in some ways it could be more efficient.
