sunroof leak

Post by pre1011 »

Hi everyone, I am brand new here and have a leaking vibe sunroof. I see a lot about the drains and mine look to be clear. I poured a glass of water down each and it runs right out the bottom. It looks like the leak is between the glass and the seal and when it drips it misses the gutter. Anyone have this happen? And how can I fix it? Thanks

I don't really have any experience with a leading sunroof. Does it do it when it just rains or when you pour the water on it? Mine leaks occasionally but only when I go through a touch-less carwash.

I have never tried sprying water but it has not leaked in a car wash. It just leaks when it rains.

welcome to genvibe

Can you see the drips fall and miss the gutter? Does it happen when driving or when parked, or both? Is the car on level ground when it happens or on a slope?

I can see drips up in there and feel that the drips are not on the metal frame. I usually park on the level. And I have never noticed if it will leak when I drive and it starts to rain. It leaks a lot if its raining and I drive, but I think that is water just finding its way out. I did try silicone caulk on the seal before I learned about the drains. It still leaked. Which is 1 reason I don't think it is the seal to the metal leaking. The silicone pulled right off and the seal looks fine as it always did.
