spec removal?

Post by SkateForLife86 »

my vibe is white...how do i get those little black dots and orange-ish dots off areas around the rear bumper. Is there anyway to get those spots off?thanksO yea, does anybody know if any body kit company(wings west, black widow, street fighter, or even the godly C-west and bomex) will have a body kit out for the vibe/voltz? i would opt for the factory body kit, but it does not suit my taste.thanks again

You could buy a surface scratch remover type product (3M, Mothers etc.) and either apply it carefully by hand or use an orbital buffer, being very careful not to burn through the clearcoat. Then apply a good quality wax to help prevent these spots from reappearing. BTW, did you clean your glasses first?

I suggest getting some polishing compound (not rubbing compound) and apply it by hand. Make sure the car is washed first. After rubbing the spots off, apply wax to the areas/body panels that you rubbed out. Be careful to get "polishing compound" and not "rubbing compound". Rubbing compound is much grittier and will scratch the car's finish.

I have a white Vibe as well. After the past winter, I also had the same specs as you state. I used Meguire's Cleaner Wax and it removed all the imperfections.. worked great!
