Help, Error codes due to intake!

Post by erick44 »

Hey genvibers! Ive had my intake in my car for a few months, suddenly started to get error codes due to my intake, Along with this the MAF sensor somehow seems to turn off my VSC and traction control OFF. Does anybody know why this happens? This is very stupid to turn off my safety features with something that has nothing to do with it. anyways my model is 2009 GT 2.4L

NOTE: All parts of the Intake are sealed!

It's not turning the VSC and TC off. The lights are on which is not the same thing. The lights are indicating that the systems are not functioning normally. I had this same issue with my 2009 GT with the K&N CAI. Check to make sure your MAF sensor is tightened down properly into the intake tube. If it is, disconnect the negative battery cable and unplug and remove the MAF sensor and inspect it very carefully for any cracks, etc. I recently discovered that my MAF sensor had a crack in it and that is why I was having intermittent issues with warning lights coming on, rough idle, etc. I replaced the MAF sensor (a brand new one was approximately $60.00) and haven't had any issues since.

i ended up making a bigger heat shield for the intake, i think it helped because i wiped the codes and they didn't come back on so far *fingers crossed*
