Everyday. It is my job to help improve the quality and reliability of all GM vehicles. Having this forum to read about customers concerns and complaints will help me in my job. The least I can do is give something back.

I am very handy with cars, but what is driving me crazy is the almost constant little buzzing and rattling from the dashboard. I tryed placing little pieces of foam, etc. in strategic places, but i am unable to eliminate all of them. Any suggestions on where most of the noises come from and how to best eliminate them? Also, i am not real impressed with the way the car tracks (directional stability) in the wind. Might the allignment be off, or is it just the nature of the beast? I compare it with my '98 Maxima, and that is rock-solid.Thanks...RitBTW, i have a '03 5-speed with about 23,000 miles.Otherwise, everthing else is excellent.
At some point, I will take mine back in to the dealer to get the buzzes and rattles fixed under warranty. It's a hassle for me to do that, so I've been putting up with them, and in 7 months I'm halfway through the short warranty, so I guess I better make time for that soon.

This is more of a dealership fix. You will need the tools that they have so that you will not damage the clips and make more of a rattle noise. This issue has been resolved on the 04 models.Unfortunately the nature of the beast comes into question with the vibe on the highway when it is windy. It is due to the responsive steering and low profile tires. If your vehicle needs some new tires try to get the ones that handle better at higher speeds. It may ride a bit rougher but the car will do better on the highway. The Maxima has more of a luxury/smoother suspension.
