I'm new! ...but i forgot to introduce myself

Post by DRYfrosty04 »

Hey! My name is Daniel from Phoenix,AZ, I'm 22 and I've been a vibe addict since i bought my vibe used in 2011 with 110k miles

Oh give me the serenity to accept the things i cannot change,
the money to mod the things i can,
and the wisdom to post/share the difference...

Ive got a frosty 2004 Vibe base auto trans
I know the vibe wont be a race car when I'm done with it, if there is an end to dropping performance parts into a car, but it will definitely look clean and will become the fastest pride and joy Ive had the pleasure of owning!

I'm friendly
military
truck driver
love to take my car out when I'm home

Looking forward to west coast meets!

Excellent color choice for that warm desert sunshine! Welcome to the Site. A lot of enthusiastic Vibe fans hang out here as you've probably gathered already... with a pretty deep knowledge base, and always ready to help out.

I lived out there in Phoenix before you were born for about 4 years... 1980 to 1984. All I can remember was the "Dry heat"! Fun place, except outside during the Summer from around 10 am to about 8 pm!!! Then everyone came out to mow their lawns (those who loved to water and cut lawns in the desert!). It was quite the deal to go out at night and feel that near 100 degree air temperature long after the sun had set! I worked down at Sky Harbor, and it was actually 100 degrees when I left work at midnight sometimes. :o Pretty wild.

Haha yeah as crazy as that sounds, I still prefer the heat over haveing to dig a car and house out of the snow. However a humid 24 degrees in utah feels like a dry 60 in AZ. I didn't need a jacket that day. O.o

Everyone I met down there in Phoenix loved that dry heat... and the area was growing really fast the whole time I was there, so a lot of people must have been moving away from the snow. Met a lot of people from the upper Midwest down there. One of the famous Phoenix sayings I remember is: "At least you don't have to shovel the heat!"

It wasn't that bad down there in the Valley of the Sun, but I really like to jog and ride bicycle. That dry Summer heat almost did me in a few times. Had to resort to doing my running after 8 or 9 pm, while everyone else was out mowing their lawns in the dark!! Stuff like that you never forget! :D
