09-10 Front License Plate Bracket

Post by Rayven01 »

I am looking for a front license plate bracket for my 09 Vibe. Unfortunately the front plate is required in Missouri and the original bracket was gone before I bought the car. Right now the plate is just screwed on and looks pretty ghetto since the bumper isn't flat and the bottom slants forward. I tried test-fitting the rear generic plate holder on the front and it looks just as bad. Anyone lucky enough not to need a front plate have one kicking around you're willing to part with? I don't mind paying but the cheapest OEM online is upwards of $70. Little much for a piece of black plastic! And no vibes in salvage yards anywhere close.

Mine is still brand new in my trunk, think it's still wrapped in plastic even. Make me an offer on it, ok?

I too have mine which was only on for the trip home from the dealership. Although required here in Ohio, I take my chances & coming up on FOUR years have never been bothered by any law enforcement folks yet. Juniors 2009 Vibe GT was a Kentucky car and never had the front bracket on so his bumper is still a virgin (no holes drilled in it). I do have the small holes in the bumper of mine though which really P I S S me off and looks like S H I T! I say gamble till you get pulled over, then just pull it out of your glove box and make up some story. Just my gambling opinion :o

Unfortunately they are sticklers for that stuff around here. My wife got pulled over for not having the registration year sticker on the front plate once. I only installed the rear one because she was parking downtown at the time and they tend to get stolen.

Blackrayne took care of me. At least it won't look quite so ghetto once I get the bracket.

Being right on the Ohio/Michigan border is probably why they don't really look for stuff like this. Michigan doesn't require front plates and so many of them work/drive down to Toledo that it is common to see many cars with no front plates!
