Ok to remove PCV valve on a hot engine?

Post by cptnsolo77 »

Tomorrow I want to clean it out right after work before it gets dark. Is this something that needs to be done when the engine is cold ? Just like spark plugs ?

No problem doing it while the engine is hot. Just don't burn yourself! (Wear gloves.)

Edit: And be aware that there are two possible part numbers that you could have. It is hard to know ahead of time which one you will have.
