Fuel Pump

Post by itsapurplevibe »

So I have been told that we need a new fuel pump... but after price shopping it seems it could cost me between $400 to $700 depending on where it is from.

Is the Toyota Matrix 09 fuel pump the same as a Pontiac Vibe 09 fuel pump? or are the assemblies different? there was one listed for $100+ but that was for the Matrix.

First of all, WHO told you this? Any proof?
Fuel pump problems seem pretty rare in Vibes.
Chevy trucks are known for fuel pump failures. When my 96 Silverado fuel pump started to "scream", I immediately changed the fuel filter - no problems since (3 years).
For crossover information, I would call my local junk yard and ask them if matrix fits Vibe.
good luck,

go to rockauto.com, search for both a matrix and vibe and compare aftermarket part #'s.
