The new color, in an old color!

Post by Jahntassa »

Yes, you read it right. Just a funny occurance, but I had my Lava GT parked outside of Taco Bell the other night... Y'know those orange streetlamps they have in parking lots? Park under that...and the Lava looks exactly like the new orange! It was hilarous! I would've taken a picture, but my neighbor hijacked my digital camera for a while..

I think you need to revisit that Taco Bell and get a snapshot for us.

I'll give it a try, don't know how well the camera will capture it though..those darned tricks of light! I'll bludgeon my neighbor tomorrow for the camera, after we put in my Strut bar and I change out his headunit.. (Yes, folks...I mess with cars for fun)

Did you say Strut Bar? Where did you get it and how much was it??? I would appreciate the info. very much. I have been thinking about getting one myself and I was wondering what a good price was. Thanx in advance! I agree that you need to revisit that Taco Bell and get us a pic... that sounds interesting!

I can easily understand the phenomena. I also own an opal blue metallic Nissan altima. In evening sunlight it's a rich navy blue. In the garage it's a light green. In the bright noon sun it almost looks purple. There's been more than once when I wasn't sure it was my car after parking it at a mall. I'd go inside when it looked one color, and come out when it looked another. And I'll bet your camera can catch the color. I've got digital pics of the same opal blue altima in about five different colors.KSNeptune

If I ever get my camera back from my neighbor, i'll get the pictures! I'm sure it'll come out fine.. I have a Nikon Coolpix 880.Sad thing though, I washed the car for the first time today, and already..PAINT CHIPS! Two little ones on the front edge of the hood to the right of the pontiac emblem...hard to see if you aren't looking though.. Still waiting for the front end cover to show up from 1stpontiacparts.com
