03 Vibe GT Clutch

Post by Mashaustin »

Ok ya'll my mom had this car since 05 and its up to 140k miles, the clutch has reached its end, my question is i know its cheaper to order it online and i know a mechanic that can do it locally, where can i find this kit, and what else should i order besides a clutch kit? could the flywheel need work? it was driven for around 500 miles, with the clutch starting to slip ( my moms daily driver ) and if i can fix it the car can be mine ( first car im 16 :D ) so any tips would be appreciated. Also what in terms of work can be done to the car? performance wise? and i was hopeing to put some subs in the car but i notice its full of plastic behind seats and etc. and tips to dampen any rattle?

Welcome to GenVibe :D update your profile so we know where you're from. First off I wish I had a mom like yours when I was 16 8-) By all means FIX this yourself and then drive this very dependable car for another 5-10 years. You won't regret it. There are several topics on clutch work here at this site. My 2009 Vibe GT is a 5-speed manual and I absolutely love it and would never drive anything different. Keep searching for answers here and also there will likely be other members who can add their advise & expertise. You've come to the right place for help! :D
