Recirculation (Full AC) button does nothing

I understand there are problems with damage to the recirculate door that causes "clicking" from time to time, however my problem is that when I press the recirc button it does not do anything at all. I have checked the switch connection and cable and they are connected. I assume if it was the motor it would make some audible noise when pressed but it does not. I put my head under the passenger seat and had someone push the button and absolutely no sound was heard. Are there any other common problems with the door that I should check first or is the motor just shot? Thanks in advance.

Generally, electric recirc buttons don't work in the defrost position. Try it in the vent/floor position. Personally, I've used my recirc button twice in the entire time I've owned my Vibe... just to see if it works...

If it still doesn't work, check the fuses. Or you could jump 12v to the motor.
