Maybe only in Canada? I thought I read on the GM website that the 2004 VIBE Orange Fusion was only available in monotone. I also read it on this forum from our always reliable sources that that was the case too Hmmmm.. Take a look.. (no photoshop).
I agree. Someone in my suburb has a monotone Fusion. It looks sharp, but I believe that I'd tire of it. The two-tone somehow seems like I wouldn't tire of it.
I like the two tone as well. Fusion is a cool color, but it's almost exactly what my last car was. I'm really happy I got the Neptune. Here is a pic of my last car:

Yeah! It's a cool color! I just sold the first one from my dealership to a guy that already had bought one from me last year. He came in and traded his Abyss for the Fusion Orange. Man I tell ya though, when you see it with tinted windows you'll really consider thinking about swapping for the Fusion Orange. It's really sharp!!Shadow Realm

quote:Wow ... I really like that orange in two tone! :DBut it would clash with all the red highlights I want to do, oh well, Shadow it is for me Geo I was just thinking the same thing.
With Fusion now available, it's even easier to mistaken the Vibe for a Nissan Murano ! Personally, I think Fusion looks better in monotone.I like what Pontiac ( or GM ) is doing now, putting out a new special colour for the new year. ie. Envy for 2002, 2003 and it's being replaced with Fusion now.maybe yellow is the next colour.?

Salsa,As far as I know, you can get the Fusion Orange in a two-tone in the states too. I think that it look better in monotone than in two-tone, but that's what is so nice about opinions, everone has one. He actually was okay as far as his trade-in and didn't even have to put money down.Shadow Realm

I noticed that window sticker listed the color as "Sunburst (orange)". Is that what it's called in Canada instead of Fusion? I thought it was interesting because last year there were rumors of the new color for 2004 being "sunburst yellow".
It looks like the window sticker says, "Sunburst II".Questions for our Canadian friends...No mention of Pontiac on the sticker. Just GM of Canada. Does GM have less divisional identity than they do here? Also, what is the Air Conditioning excise tax?? - Earl

Didn't you hear? Canada has a tax for EVERYTHING...GST, HST, A/C Excise Tax, it's crazy. But that's ok, I still love you Canada!!!!As to 2-tone options, the 2004 guide here in the states only lists Fusion as an option under Monotone, and not under 2-tone...So I sense it's a Canada exclusive...
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
Chevrolet and Pontiac are still kept separate, except in very small rural areas. Pontiac dealers are generally Pontiac / Buick / GMC and Chevrolet dealers are Chev / Olds / Cadillac.
There is even a 'gas guzzler tax'. They actually charge a 75.00 'gas guzzler tax' on the VIBE, which is the best in its class. A big SUV would have a gas guzzler tax in the hundreds of dollars. When they sold 'METROS', there was a tax credit. The damn Liberals never saw a tax they didn't like or couldn't hike.
Yes, it does carry a GG tax. Both GT and Base / AWD. I have no idea what the threshold is. Obviously it's designed to keep the government rich, not really what it was designed to do, like encourage people to buy more fuel efficient vehicles. Welcome to Northern Canuckistan.

Welcome to Northern Canuckistan. The GG tax seems to be only in Ontario. I didn't pay any king of taxes for this. I only paid the $100 taxes on A/C.
yeah, remember lots of taxes are different in the different provinces. I don't pay sales tax in Alberta The aircon tax is supposed to be some environmental thing as is the tire tax ($4/tire i think) which is supposed to be used for recycling/disposing of old tires. HOWEVER, our wonderful liberal govt simply takes the cash and spends it on... well, whatever they want!Oops, sorry for the political rant... I'll just sit here and be happy we don't have a provincial sales tax

quote:Is the gas milage the same as the '03? That seems higher! I've just check on my window sticker and it's the same gas mileage as 2003. Don't forget, in Canada, it's indicated in imperial gallons and not in US gallons... (tou have to multiply this MPG by 0.83 to have them converted in US gal.)
