Radio lights going out

My wife's 04 Vibe Radio on the left side where the clock is dark, like a light bulb burned out or the display is failing. It is hard to read the time anymore.

What can we do to fix this?

There is a thread here, oddly titled as "Radio lights going out" at viewtopic.php?t=26889" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; that describes how to replace the LCD backlight bulbs. However, some have recently encountered problems replacing the bulbs, so be forewarned
