Bought Kenwood Home2Anywhere Sirius Radio

Post by meathead333 »

I bought the plug and play Sirius Satilite Radio today. I get it installed tomarrow. Ill try and post some pics of it when its done. It will mount on the drivers side dash in the corner. It looked pretty cool when i was talkin to the sales dude. Their install is gonna hide all the wires and cords for a nice clean look. I hope it turns out as good as it's suppose to!

This is what my XM SkiFi looks like on a Pro-Fit mount. I'm curious to see what the Sirius would look like!

well, while sitting around doing nothing, i decided to see where else i could mount the Sirius unit. i took a BIG risk doing this, but i took my Dremel tool to my vibe what i did was i took out the compartment underneath the shifter. i changed my mind and am going to mount the unit down there. it looks good, but theres a big open space now. so...with my dremel saw, i pretty much cut off alot of the pop out door so that it fills the empty space that the unit doesnt fill. it actually looks pretty good. so in the end, that compartment is non functional(i didnt use it anyways). like i said, ill post some pics once its installed and working. i just hope they can hook up all the wires from down there dont know why they cant, well see.

That looks pretty good! I think the only thing I would ask...isn't it kinda out of the way? Though I suppose you'll just set your presets and be on your way..I like where I have my Delphi just cuz' I like glancing over at the titles now and again.. But all personal preference!

i wouldnt say its out of the way, the display is back lit and very easy to see. plus it comes with a remote so ill just use that. i just didnt really want it on the dash(ie:sunlight, theft, etc..). i lsten to cd lot, so this was more of a "something cool to add" buy. but my parents have it and they love it, which says alot since they are totaly tech iliterate....i plan on getting my 12.95 a month worth out of it for sure.
