Saw this over at MO, so I thought I would pass it along here!http://www.tcforum.com/forum/viewthread ... id30049For VVT-i and VVTL-i Engines :DWhat can I say, it's $10 (a little much) but quality and the surprise factor when I get girls in the car (...whenever that will happen ... ... ) make it worth it.I'm ordering a pair, who else?
since i'm a female, and i don't swing that way, i'd have to pass. until they come up with something for us ladies, then guess we're stuck with the kid getting smacked upside the head.
quote: From: http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/airbag/AAPFR/reg/regtext.html ...each vehicle shall have a label permanently affixed to either side of the sun visor, at the manufacturer's option, at each front outboard seating position that is equipped with an inflatable restraint.... Key word: permanently. I'm not sure it's a fabulous idea to remove the sticker to begin with, but than again I work in safety, so I'm biased (even if it is just the government's CYA because they mandate airbags). Ulitmately, it's your car and you can do whatever you want. In any case, if it is there "permanently", I think the safest option would be to cover it with a different sticker or get one of those visor cd holder things. Or maybe you can order visors somewhere else that might not have the sticker? Good luck.
quote:i think they're silk screened on. I'll have to pay more attention to mine.your pretty much correct on that. any we see damaged at work don't peel off, that ruins the sunvisor fabric. I wouldn't advise removing it just for the reason you'll probably end up buying new ones
Alright, I got the Airbag stickers off my visors! It's actually REALLY easy. Get a fingernail under the corner of the sticker, the part where it looks transparent, but it isn't. Carefully start lifting up. It's held on by a vaguely weak adhesive.Just pull the sticker down, I got the adhesive off with my finger by kinda "balling" it up and pulling it off.PS, my visors aren't fabric, they're the kinda "leatherette" stuff.

The stickers pealed right off my '04, and it caused no damage. I wasn't actually planning on removing them but I was stuck in traffic soon after buying the Vibe and while trying to do something for the boredom I realized that the driver's side sticker wasn't well attached, so I pulled a bit and the sticker lifted right off. Then I looked at the passenger side and just had to even things out so I pulled it off as well. I stuck the two stickers in to the plastic manual cover... Glad not to look at them anymore.
