Just picked a used '08 Vibe yesterday. I was wondering if someone could show me how to send private messages on this forum. (Total newbie here)

Welcome to GenVibe!
There are a couple different ways you can send a PM (private message):
1. When you're reading through a thread, you will see an icon that has an envelope with a blue arrow pointing to the right appear under every member's username on the left side of the screen (you will see the username in bold, followed by the number of posts the member has made, the date the member joined and finally the envelope with blue arrow icon, along with other icons depending on what the member has or hasn't filled out in their profile). Scroll over this icon and it will say "Private Message". Simply click on the icon and compose your message, then hit submit when you're finished.
2. Click on "User Control Panel" in the upper lefthand corner of any screen (i.e. threads, board index, reply screen, etc.). Next, click the tab that says "Private Messages". Next, click on "Find Member" toward the top of the private message template. You can search through the member list or search for a specific username. Once you have chosen the member you want to message, you simply type your message and then submit it. Sending a message this way allows you to send multiple members the same message at once.
