Faultline,Give us more details! Tell us about the turbo package, what sort of psi, driveability, difficulty tuning, etc?!?!?!? P.S. I would never attempt to turbocharge my 2ZZ, but I think the 1ZZ is a decent motor for mild boost.

Thanks for the links, Scott! I guess I missed all those threads on the first go around and forgot to use the search function. Newbie mistake!

I guess it's easy to miss threads if they take place in a topic you don't always go in and check. I've always found it easier to use the "Active Thread" link:http://forums.genvibe.com/zerosearch?cm ... hreadsThis lists all active threads in all topics in reverse date/time order (newest posts on top). This way I sign on and read every thread dated after I signed on last.Hope that helps.

I would never attempt to turbocharge my 2ZZ, but I think the 1ZZ is a decent motor for mild boost.Hey ya Quikag!....The turbo runs 7psi....intercooled......the system boost usaally from 3krpms to redline...the car runs stock...I mean normall by the cars ecu while not under boost....so it Idles all the same as normall....the fuel system delivers extra fuel referenced to manifold pressure...it is done mechanicly... so for each psi of manfold pressure, the corect amount of of fuel is calibrated to match the extra air....if I turn the boost up to let us say 9psi...the coreect amount of fuel is automaticly calibrated...so I dont have to worry about detonation...it runs rich under boost to be safe...no engine lights and no engine management...it is all mechanical...the car feels exactly the same as before...but goes into a fast forward mode under boost!...like warp speed ahead!...captain......the trick is just like trying to stay over 6k in your gt....finding the right gear for rpms.when you want to zoom...but instead...I have to shoot for 3500 to 6500...to stay in boost......soooo it is like....65 mph in 5th gear at 2500rpms ...and the turbo has no influence...it is just like stock...then drop it into 3rd..and your rpms are over 4k and it is warp speed up to 90mph at 6500rpms...go to 4th...and its 4k again and still boosting...to 110mph if you like...but that is rare.......usually i am boosting in 1st and 2 gear ...up to 60 mph...and then 3rd...up to ???I cant afford tickets LOL...

Faultline, you've been running turboed for a while now. A couple of operating cost questions about your turbovibe - Do you need to run premium fuel with the turbo?under normal driving, what kind of gas mileage do you get?
