2004 with Moons and Tunes Install

Post by mdg2fast4u »

I have a 2004 with the Moons and Tunes package. Just over a year and a half ago, I replaced my stock head unit with a Kenwood KDC-BT645U. I installed the Scosche FAI-3A. Later I installed some new speakers after hearing how much the new head unit helped the sound I wanted to see what new speakers did for the sound.

Three or four months ago I started noticing a weird sound in my right side speakers. To make this short, two weeks ago I finally got around to taking my car to a local audio shop (They have been in business for over 40 years) to see what the problem was. I suspected the problem was the Scosche but wanted someone else to tell me that. I met a guy that ran some tests, for free, (I like these guys!) and came up with the conclusion that the Scosche was defective. After more tests he did not know why I even needed the Scosche. I told him I found that information on a website and that is why I installed the Scosche. After looking up my car’s information we decided to try it without the Scosche. I have been using the car without the Scosche for the past couple weeks with absolutely no problems. I have not noticed any odd noises or anything like that. I am not sure if at some point I will run into problems or if, for some reason, everything is good.

I thought I would post something after seeing so many people talking about the Scosche boxes on this site.

I will keep you posted.
