Missing cargo tie down FOUND!!!

Post by ragingfish »

So remember a month or two ago when I lost that plastic retainer clip for a cargo tie down? Then a week later, another retainer and metal screw plate disappeared?Well, I FOUND THEM BOTH.Decided to lift up the rear bench today to see what goodies I found under there. Sure enough, right staring me in the face was the second missing retainer and tie down. Then I thought, I never saw the original one fly out of the car. So maybe it's here. So I peeked under the plastic flaps that stick out below the seatbelt, and sure enough, there wedged under the driver-side rear passenger seatbelt flap was the missing retainer clip! I am whole again! So if you're missing things, and you think they're under the rear bench, they probably are. And don't forget to look here too:

Nice find. Way to go. On a related subject, I like to look under things in my wife's altima. She's losing money in there all the time.Is that a speaker in the center? Was there a natural depression there? Does it's sound get muffled by the seat? Is it sit proof?KSNeptune

Nah, that goes through the side paneling...and it's only 3 or 4 wires...blinkers and such have dozens...My guess is something with the fuel gauge, since I believe the fuel tank is right below the rear seats?

Yes, that is the access panel for the fuel tank. There are 3 things wired there:1 - Fuel Sender Assembly2 - Fuel Pump (part of the fuel sender assembly)3 - Fuel Tank Pressure (FTP) SenderThe Fuel Sender Assembly contains the following wires in a 5-wire plug (Grey):1 - not used2 - Fuel Gauge (Yellow)3 - Low Fuel Indicator (Brown)4 - Fuel Pump Feed Circuit (Black/Red)5 - Ground (White/Black)Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor is a 3-wire plug (Black):1 - Sensor Ground (Brown)2 - Fuel Tank Pressure Input (Blue)3 - Reference Voltage (Yellow)Is that what wires you see under there?
