04 AWD - Rear cam adjust bolt/nut help

Post by manillahab »

So I managed to break off the nut for the cam adjust bolt on the lower control arm. I was on my way to replacing the hub assembly due to a bad wheel bearing, but I guess I didn't use enough PB Blaster or heat. Question - Is the cam adjust plate (on the nut side) threaded? Is this one piece with the bolt? I need to figure out if I have to cut the bolt out or just grind off the end of the broken bolt and hammer it out. Thanks!

Here are a couple pictures of the parts for this brand new. Bought them recently in case I had issues when working on side rear axle seals, but didn't need them. They've now been returned.

But based on looking at them, there are no threads on the actual cam adjuster piece that goes on nut side.
