How come when I posted a message on 5-15-2012 (my birthday) on the East coast at 9:00 pm, it displays the next day date?

Thanks, I now see the "User Control Panel" link above. This only started happening when we on this new format.
It wasn't just me, It when I look at every one else's post it would show a whole day difference rather then a few hours. I found that I was somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean.
