Wiring backup camera - Always on - Help

Hey guys, recently purchased a backup camera from Amazon for $35, came with camera and monitor.

I want to wire it as "always on" rather than only when in reverse. What do you think the best way to do this is? I know the camera is normally connected to the reverse lights in the back for power, but do you happen to know what wire may be always on to splice into?

Also, for the monitor upfront, what would be the best way to hardwire that?

I recently installed a new CD deck with the Metra wiring harness, and used the remote wire (blue) to turn the deck on, could I splice into that? Or would that take too much draw and mess something up?

I would suggest that you rig a (lighter 12 volt plug) wire from the front to the rear camera. You can just plug it in if you want to leave it on, or unplug it. And maybe you can still have it wired to the rear backup light. But you will need a bypass switch to cut the supply from the rear light when you have it plugged into the lighter outlet. I would think that you will need a ground tap at the rear to complete the circuit. Perhaps you can add a bypass switch to the dash (lower left of the steering wheel ) Have the power come from the fuse panel. (Sorry, just a mix of ideas off the top of my head.)
