"New" Vibe Owner

Post by dannyy72 »

'New' Vibe owner saying HI to everyone out there. Just picked up my 2003 Vibe GT silver today and loving it. And this website, (removed), answered all the questions I have about the Vibe and ways to fix the problems I have on mine and more. My power window switch is lose, like when I press the switch, it just sinks underneath the silver trim piece. My front map lights don't work, and I had a hard time pulling the cover off cuz I didn't want to break anything. But I found all the answers here. The DRL/Foglight mod write up is excellent, I just don't know if I am brave enough to try doing that myself. Quick question for all the knowledgable people out there, my GT comes with a sunroof, does that mean I have the moon and tunes package? (BTW I am in Vancouver BC Canada) If it does, would I have a hard time installing a aftermarket deck into my Vibe cuz I heard the moon and tunes package has an integrated amplifier and I have to somehow bypass this amplifier to get proper sound? Any input is welcomed. I will post pictures of my Vibe when I get everything set up. Thanks, keep Vibing!!!

Welcome! I don't have any answers for your questions, but wanted to say hello. I think you can get the adapter harness for the radio if you want to use the stock wiring though. Crutchfield has the wiring kits for the 6 speaker systems listed.

Good luck on it!

Thanks for the welcome guys. I did some research on installing an aftermarket radio and took the stock radio out to have a look at the back. I have almost all the wires figured out on the 24 pin plug, but there's one plug that has 1 wire coming out and I have no idea what that's for. Any ideas?
