Took my 2003 vibe gt with new bike rack and trailer hitch for spin today, we took nice bike ride, this is Allen three bike rack, it worked great, did not move a bit.
Nice vibe the GT just looks better than the base the back tint is good overall your vibe looks new I have a 04. Base I bought it in the getto it's a beater that I saved from going to junk yard I want a GT does yours have big speaker in hatch area ?
thank PAULCLASSA you, i painted my vibe, my vibe came with unpainted cladding, i did a lot of work on it,this summer i will paint the rest of it, you can see my driver side door handle i painted with silver metal flake, just like rear view mirrors. My mother has 04 base, that is why i bought vibe in first place. No i don't have speaker in rear hatch but if i wanted one that is where i would fabricate fiberglass enclosure. you can see some fiberglass boxes i made in my other posting where i introduced myself couple of days ago.In couple of years i am moving to Florida so i did not want dark color, silver is good for sun.Vibe is nice car to work on so enjoy your project.
i got the same rack for christmas this year. i love everything about it (especially the price) except that it moves way too much for my liking. will have to work on some solutions...
Mine doesn't move a bit, that anti wobble bolt pushes against rack tube and it is 100% tight.Roads we took this weekend were bumpy and tight, and with three bikes on the rack it was steady, just little springing motion.
i'll have to try the anti-wobble bolt. i had just used the standard pin previously. i wish there was a combination of the convenience of the pin and the stability of the bolt.
I know, it would have been nice to be able to take it off without tools, but hey it is nice to take you bikes across country and not worry about them behind
