Can someone explain the new Tap-shift that's available to the new GTP Comp cars. Is it better then auto? Pro's / Con's? Can/should it be transplanted to a Vibe?

I know you can't just add it to the vibe -- it involves a whole mess of stuff with the tranny, and the tranny has to be built for it, the ECM...tons of stuff need to be built to work with it...

What's tap shift? Is it like a SMG gearbox such as found on the BMW M3, or an electronic shift of the standard auto tranny?Oops, just looked at the picture again. Probably hard to retrofit to a stock auto but I doubt there is any difference in the actually tranny... just an electronic shift from the wheel rather than pushing on the gear selector.Save up your pennies and get a smg gearbox... the most amazing gearbox of all!!!
