2009 Vibe GT Custom Arm Rest

Post by BC123 »

Motivated by Sublimewind http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=38591 and my elbow pain after resting on the hard slab of plastic Pontiac likes to call an arm rest I decided to test my custom DIY skills.I took Sublimewind's excellent instructions and modified to what worked for me:Upholstery foam for greater comfort:Neoprine wrap:Neoprine cover:These clips really help to hold the vinyl in place as the adhesive dries:Final:Installed - Hey, it's no West Coast Customs but it is way more comfortable:

You be motivated Brian It's all about comfort. In my 09GT I have the seat pumped up to the tallest position (got short legs and am only 5'-7" tall) and my arm does not even reach my armrest Another inch of foam just may make the difference. One of the many "future" mods I plan on doing. Great work

I'm 6'2" so seat is all the back and all the way down. Several weeks now with the armrest and a few road trips under my belt...WOW what a difference. MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE!!!
