Moisture in the headlight!

Post by dustie »

Hey guys, I just purchased a 05 base model and the last few days ive noticed the passenger headlight has quite a bit of moisture in it.. Looks like some one took a hot shower with it in the room.. (joys of living in the desert i guess) I looked to see if it comes apart but it seems to be sealed.. Any suggestions how to get the ugliness out of it?

1 Park the car either in a warm dry spot or in the hot sun.2 Remove the rubber boot on the back.3 Let the sun burn it off or turn on your lights to have the heat from the bulb burn it off.4 Replace the rubber boot.5 Check to see if the vents on the light has the foam filters in them. If not I suggest you add some.If it returns, you will need to remove it from the car to reseal it.

I had this issue before and I read somewhere you can use a packet of those silicon beads that comes in foods like beef jerkey. YOu poke a tiny hole in it and and attach a wire or thread. Then you hook it on the light opening. It sucks all the moisture out of the light then your good to go. I used a cotton ball once and that worked as well. Just a thought.
