It's not looked upon nicely though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tIOqHRw8DXQIn Vibes defense, not even the Caravan can hold a mattress. And of course a minivan is going to be better at hauling than a Firebird and Solstice. BTW only Pontiacs (except for one Saturn Vue) are featured.
Depends - I was pressed into service by my wife to bring home a single bed mattress and box spring for my cheap (removed) bro-in-law to save him the delivery fee. Never mind my time and gas. It fit in my swb T&C.

I saw that! I didn't notice the other Pontiac vehicles or the Saturn though, I'll have to watch for it next time. Perhaps they did this as an easy out against being accused of trashing someone's products since they're all defunct. (well, except for the Vue, kinda - it has reemerged as a rental-fleet-only special as the Mexican-built "Chevrolet Captiva Sport.")Very funny, Chrysler.

So what is Chrysler's point? Of course a mini van is going to haul more then a F-Body(Camaro/Firebird) or a Solstice. These are sports cars. The Vibe is a compact car and the Vue was misrepresented as you can fit a lot of crap in it(turn the toy house sideways)With the exception of the Vue all the others are for different demographics. But I will lay you good odds that the Firebird, Solstice, Vibe and Vue in that commercial will go to the crusher with its original trans and engine.Chrysler is the only car company where a new engine and transmission are considered routine or normal maintenance

I hope not! Though my 2007 T&C has a lifetime warranty on the powertrain.2. My son is still driving my old 1998 Plymouth Voyager 4 cyl with 200,000+ miles. Had to replace head gasket but Chrysler picked up 50% of the cost.

Of course that rules out half the US population.I have always thought that having one big vehicle and one small one was a better strategy than two 4 dr sedans. In retirement just one mid-size one (e,g. Honda CRV; Chevy Equinox) makes sense but I already own the former two and bought them both dirt cheap so I will keep them as every once in awhile we both need to drive somewhere. Insurance on a 2nd vehicle is cheap. And one advantage in having two cars is that odds are one of them will always be usable.

Blown headgaskets seem to be the name of the game for Chrysler products. It is remarkable the amount of shoddy products that company put out. They managed to screw up fuel injection on the 1981-83 Imperial (which was a very beautiful car with its sloped form) and the only fix that they had was to retrofit the cars with carbs. The 2.2 and 2.5l engines required replacement headgaskets as normal maintenance(my LeBaron needed 2 of them in the space of 100,000 miles and I baby my cars)the 3.3 and 3.8l V6 engines were decent engines but suffered from early wearing valve stem seals.(Maybe they fixed the problem by the mid 2000's but the problem was there up to at least the year 2000). If I am at a stop light or in traffic and I see blue smoke in front of me I know that 99% of the time it is going to be ether a Chrysler product with a 3.3L or 3.8L V6 or a Ford product with a 4.6L Modular V8(think Crown Vic, Town Car or Grand Marquis)
