Off Idle Hesitation (cold)

Post by fiveoh »

Hello.I searched the forums but didn't find much info.I have a 2007 base Vibe (auto) with less than 30k miles. When I start in the morning and initially drive off, all is normal. The first time I slow down to 'stop' (or very slow roll) and go to accelerate again.........I press on the accelerator and NOTHING for a full 1-2 seconds....* It doesn't shut off* It doesn't idle roughlyIt just doesn't go......engine RPM's around idle speed and don't increase...If I release the accelerator pedal and then get back on it, it goes fine and doesn't do it anymore (for now). Anyone else experience anything like this? Thanks,

DId you have the ECU/PCM replaced? That year car has drive by wire maybe you have some condensation in the Throttle control connector.

Try and reset the DBW system.http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=252381: turn key to "on" (not to "start," you do not want it running)2: push pedal all the way to the floor and hold it there3: wait 5 seconds4: turn key to "off" while still holding pedal5: remove foot off the gas pedal then start the car....enjoy !!!

Good info to know about the DBW systems. I'm not used to all the electronics controlling everything, but they have good points and a few bad ones.Nelson, off topic, but do you have any pics of your 5.0 LX?
