My mom and I were discussing calendars last night and all of a sudden the thought popped into my head that GenVibe doesn't do a yearly calendar like a few other car-related websites I'm on do.It's obviously too late to do a 2012 calendar, but I thought I would throw this idea out so that, assuming the world doesn't end , we can perhaps get a 2013 one put together. Here's a quick overview of how it's done on one of the other car-related websites I'm on...1. Members nominate other members' Vibes (basically just like VOTM).2. Assuming there are more than 12 nominees, a vote is taken to narrow the nominees down to 12.3. The 12 "winning" Vibes go in the calendar.A guy who is a member of the Wisconsin GM-Tuners runs a business and he is the one who makes the calendars for the J-Body Organization website. I'm sure I could get him to make some Vibe calendars up for us if there was enough interest. I believe his calendars usually end up running about $12.00.

I'd love a GV calendar! It seems a lot easier than merchandise too. Why not do a 2012 one, and just use a stock photo for January, since they probably wouldn't be out until near February? If we do it for 2013 chances are we'll all forget about it entirely.
Well, I figured by the time all the nominating and voting and everything else was done, it'd be too much of PITA to get a 2012 one out. We'll see what others have to say...

Dang. It's too bad this topic didn't get resurrected until today. Snapfish has free overnight (once the calendars are processed) shipping for orders over $10 (one calendar would do it!). I just put together a calendar yesterday for a family member that will be delivered to them by the 24th. As in, December.I think the voting and organization would be the only time-consuming part of the process. That and people taking quality photos of their rides. No camera phones! I tease on that point, because I have seen some iPhone photos that have shamed a 10 megapixel point-and-shoot. Fun idea if we could ever get it going. You can even put photos within individual days, so we could have other members submit if they want the day they joined GV to be recognized, or maybe certain members birthdays. Comes down to how involved/revealing we want to be.
I'd be in for one for 2012, and 2013. my wife has ordered from Snapfish before, and we've been VERY satisfied with the results.Perhaps a quick i week vote, then, Snapfish the 2012, and work on the 2013 based on the sales of the 2012 calendar.

Okay... I was thinking today... for a 2012 calendar, we could always just use the 2011 VOTM winners so it would be quicker and easier to get a calendar produced.Opinions...?

I'm not a part of that group and I know that everyone wants a whole month of looking at this...or this...And... It's all 100% NON-Photoshopped!!! Nothing fake about my pics!!!
my aunt makes calendars every xmas as her gift to the family.everyones bdays and anniversaries and main events are on them.she is really into photography and puts her work on all the pictures.ill call her tomorrow and see what she would charge to sell them and I can ship them all out. Then we'll compare prices and go with the cheapest. Unless you guys object.either way, i'm in
I like the idea of the little photos of the vibes on our or their birthdays. Probably peoples birthdays will be more diverse, then everyone makes it "in" but each month votm gets top honors
I'd buy one for $12, but rather than VOTM winners, I'd say just throw in the best pics of the Vibes we have and then vote for those. I've seen some very good pictures of Vibes on here but just because someone wins VOTM doesn't mean they have a good one of their car. I bet there are at least 12 pics good enough to be professional on this site.I'd also put it in categories so that the 1st generation gets four months, the refresh of the 1st generation (the change over to the flush grille) gets four months and the 2nd generation gets four months so that they are all well represented.I wouldn't add birthdays - that would clog it up big time.I wouldn't do a 2011, I'd do a 2012 and I'll buy it as soon as it is ready and keep it waiting to be put up in my office.
