Bought myself a pair of Polk DB 651 speakers for the rear as a present to myself. 60 bucks from Amazon & picked up the speaker connectors for 6 bucks off Ebay. The right rear speaker is buzzing and needs to go. I figured after paying off about 2000 in debt this year i would reward myself with a gift. Going to pick up some sound deadening as well & complete the project & now have a set to match the slim mount DBs on the the front.

Contests on the speakers. I had two sets of those and they're a solid buy. The sound deadening will also help a lot, if done appropriately. I still have the db651s set in the rear and they work well. The sensitivity really helps them sound good off of deck power. My Image Dynamics don't get quite as loud at similar volume levels on the deck so I'm definitely looking forward to amping them.I haven't amped the Polk Audio sets but I've always been curious about how they'd sound. I doubt that you'll feel the need to run an outboard amp but, if you do, let us know how they change.
